Meet Anja and Alfred: Two Happy residents at Øresund park

With the most fantastic view over Amager Strand, Anja Matz lives with her dog Alfred and boyfriend Victor in a three-bedroom apartment at Øresund Park. Anja is very familiar with the property – it's the third apartment she's lived in over the past five years, as her desires and needs have changed over time. And as she says, "I can't see why I would ever move from Balder."

In 2019, Anja Matz and her 5-year-old dog Alfred moved into the Øresund Park property by Amager Strand. It was during a walk at the beach that Anja became aware of the area and the property, which she fell head over heels for:

"I originally come from Amager but ended up in an apartment in Brønshøj. I was out for a walk with a friend on Amager Strand one day, and on that trip, I fell so in love with the area that I immediately knew I had to head back to Amager. It could hardly happen fast enough," she explains.

Anja then contacted Balder's rental team and was shown a two-bedroom apartment on the third floor.

"I ended up living in that apartment for two years. They were two lovely years where I really felt like I became part of the Balder family in no time."

Needs change, and new opportunities arise
From her apartment on the third floor, Anja could look down on a lovely ground-floor apartment with a garden. Also at Øresund Park. One day she noticed that the resident was packing her stuff, and she hurried to contact Balder once again:

"I felt a desire and a need for my own little garden. Also for the sake of my dog. So it was ideal that the ground-floor apartment became available, and that I was lucky enough to be offered it. I had no desire to move from Balder at all, and I am so glad that internal relocations are an option."

Anja and Alfred lived in the apartment for another two years, and when Anja met her boyfriend Victor in 2023, a new need arose: More space.

"When I was going to move in with Victor, I was actually not in doubt that we should stay with Balder. Just in a larger apartment. So I kept myself informed about available leases, and boom – our current three-bedroom apartment on the fifth floor became available, and we were lucky enough to be offered it. It has everything: plenty of space, a great layout, the coolest rooftop terrace, beautiful natural light, and the most beautiful view."

Balder forever
With two internal relocations and half a decade as a resident, Anja has truly become acquainted with Balder. And she has – fortunately – only positive things to say:

"I really mean it when I say that I want to live with Balder forever. There is room for everyone here, it's easy to live here with pets, and you feel welcome. In addition, Balder's staff are sweet and helpful, and the common areas are very well-maintained. I can't see why I would ever move from here."

She also extensively uses the surrounding nature, while the metro station, which she can see from her living room, is conveniently close.

"I enjoy having the beach and the water so close by, while also being able to reach the city center with the metro in no time. The apartment is optimally furnished – even when you want to have many guests over. Recently, we invited nearly 30 people over for a birthday celebration where we grilled on the rooftop terrace," she says, continuing:

"Although it's new construction, it really has its charm, and the apartment is nice and pleasant to stay in. It means a lot, as I not only live here but also work from the apartment every day with my own business."

For the whole family
Anja's dog, Alfred, also benefits from being a resident at Øresund Park. He is walked daily on Amager Strand and frequently greets the many other four-legged residents who have taken up residence on the property.

"It's so easy to have a dog here. Also because there is an elevator. It's not everywhere that's pet-friendly, but it really is here."

The hope is that Anja's adult daughter can soon move into the property as well.

"My daughter and her boyfriend would really like to move here, after several years and different apartments, they have seen how lovely I live. So they're just waiting for something to become available that matches their needs," she concludes.
