Balder's first property outside Copenhagen is finally completed

Balder Denmark has made an entry into the Danish property market by purchasing and constructing properties in the area of Copenhagen. Gradually, the company has increased its investment outside Copenhagen. Now the first property outside the capital city is completed. Carlsbakken is located in Hillerød, and the interest in the apartments here has been overwhelming.

”We always look far ahead and seek to puzzle out how many people want to live both now and in the future. Therefore, we follow people’s migration patterns and from there create housing opportunities when there is a growing need. It was the growth estimate for Hillerød that led us to make our first investment outside the capital city,” tells the CEO of Balder Danmark, Flemming Joseph Jensen.   

The signing of the property was in 2018, and now, two years later, it stands fully completed and almost fully rented.

Investments outside Copenhagen are a good idea

”We have experienced overwhelming interest for Carlsbakken in Hillerød – which only confirms that we have reached a market where the need for housing is substantial. In a general perspective we see an exponential need for properties outside Copenhagen, without the comprise of a pulsing life close to nature and good commute opportunities at an affordable price. Our investment strategy is mostly based on these factors," says Flemming Joseph Jensen.

Carlsbakken is created by Balder as builder in close collaboration with Sjælsø Management, Raundahl & Moesby and MOE. Holscher Nordberg has struck the lines for the construction, which among other thing is characterized by beautiful rounded corners, the sloping terrain and the green roof surface. Overall, the property has a living space of 10.650 m2, distributed between 127 apartments.
