Once again balder invites customers to Christmas festivities and togetherness
Attendance was high, and the festive atmosphere was unmistakable as hundreds of Balder residents welcomed the holiday season with fun experiences and activities for everyone.
An event for everyone
At 4:00 PM, Balder’s staff opened the doors to a crowd of excited and cheerful customers at Experimentarium in Hellerup. Like last year, the impressive science center provided the setting for Balder’s Christmas event, open to all customers and their loved ones.
With a wide variety of activities and experiences, there was something for everyone. Families with children enjoyed space- and bubble shows, while young adults and those without kids explored the possibilities of technology in a talk by journalist and tech expert David Guldager. Experimentarium's Demo Bar hosted a heart and lung dissection that captivated curious visitors who asked questions as the demonstration unfolded.
Most attendees—both with and without children—also took advantage of the fact that all of Experimentarium’s exhibits were open.
“It’s an amazing venue, so even though we joined last year, we made it a priority to attend again this year. The atmosphere is extraordinary, and there are so many entertainment options. Of course, there are plenty of activities for families with kids, but there’s also something for those of us who come without children. We find it exciting and educational,” shared Stefania and Jorge, who live at Lavetten in Ørestad.
They have been Balder residents for nearly three years and actively participate in shared events and activities.
A part of each other’s daily lives
In its fourth year, the event has become a true Balder tradition, and while the preparations are extensive and time-consuming, the consensus is that it’s all worth it. Balder’s CEO, Flemming Joseph Jensen, explains:
“This initiative underscores our commitment to meeting our customers on equal footing, getting to know them, and creating even stronger communities and shared experiences. We are continually striving to be as close to our customers as possible; to be a meaningful part of their daily lives so we can offer the right help and service when needed. An event like this is just one of many ways we engage and connect with our customers.”
Flemming also added that the event provides an opportunity for parts of Balder’s organization that don’t have daily customer interaction to meet residents in an informal setting.
Jumpstarting the holiday spirit
Yamuna, a resident of Balder’s property Øresundspark, brought her son to Experimentarium.
“This is our second time attending because it’s such a lovely event that really kickstarts the holiday spirit. Plus, our son gets some wonderful experiences.”
She continued:
“It’s my impression that Balder is particularly good at organizing activities for their residents, and I do what I can to participate because I want to support their wonderful initiatives and the sense of community they foster. I truly value that as a resident. I don’t like the idea of just coming home, closing our doors, and having nothing to do with one another.”
In addition to the many exciting activities, all guests could enjoy warm æbleskiver (Danish Christmas donuts) and hot beverages at Experimentarium’s restaurant, SMASK. Throughout the evening, musician Rasmus Benner provided delightful music, and some attendees even took the chance to hit the dance floor.
A big thank you for the support
Around 1,500 visitors took time out of their busy schedules to kick off the holiday season and spend a few hours with Balder and their loved ones. We are incredibly grateful—without you, there’s no tradition. So, thank you to everyone who joined this year’s Christmas event. We’re already looking forward to next year. And who knows? We might shake things up and come up with something new.
